Fire Log Pose(Agnistambhasana)

                                                       Fire Log Pose(Agnistambhasana)
The Fire Log Pose is a very deep yoga stretch for the buttocks and hamstrings. You can also stretch the lower back if you are able to go deep enough. This can be a challenging stretch if your hips are tight. When first attempting this stretch, you may need to modify the leg position. However, with continuous stretching, your hips will loosen and you will be able to go deeper into this posture.

Benefits of Fire Log Pose:
■Opens and stretches the hips
■Stretches the groins and buttocks gently
■Stimulates the abdominal organs
■Strengthens legs and calves
■Calms the mind
■Relieves anxiety, tension and stress

Warnings
.Do not bounce while stretching. Take slow, deep breaths and relax into the stretch..
.If you find it difficult to sit up straight or keep the buttocks down, try sitting on a folded blanket or small pillow..
